Marilyn Kay writes dark, gutsy crime fiction rooted in contemporary themes.
Although a long-time lover of murder mysteries, she came to writing them only after a career in corporate communications and social media consulting.
Her own brush with serious illness made her realize, it was now or never if she was going to fulfill her dream of being an author.
Her first short story, "Journey into the Dark", is being published in the Bouchercon 2017 anthology, Passport to Murder on October 12, 2017. In the meantime, she continues to write her first mystery novel.
Marilyn is a member of Sisters in Crime and an executive member of Sisters in Crime - Toronto.
