MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!! The Mesdames of Mayhem are launching their latest mystery anthology, 13 Claws, just in time for Halloween. Lo and behold! My story “That Damn Cat” is in the book. The book launch on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. will take place at Sleuth of Baker Street, Toronto’s bookstore specializing in crime and mystery books.
We’ve got readings from 17 fantastic and fantastical tales featuring cats, dogs, snakes, crackers, a dragon and even a pig. And they’re not just cozies. There’s more than one story to send a chill up your spine and get your pulse racing. As Toronto Star book reviewer Jack Batten notes, the stories are not just written “out of an affection for animals…. There’s enough suspense and intellectual fascination built into the plots of the majority of stories to satisfy even the most ferociously cynophobic reader.”
Of course, authors, including myself, will be there for signings—Did I mention, yummy food and drinks?
So come and get into the Halloween mood! Beyond Sleuth’s poodles, Sir Percival and Pixie, you might even see some costumed authors slinking and nosing about. And if you feel so inclined, join in our masquerade merriment!
